Internationally acclaimed Chinese pianist, Lang Lang, will be performing operatic transcriptions and collaborations with singers for future performances. However, Chicago fans will be treated to a special solo recital exclusively at the Civic Opera House.
He will be performing Bach, Schubert and Chopin classics. The theater will give concertgoers a large screen view of the piano’s keyboard throughout the performance via an upclose video camera.
The New York Times describes Lang Lang as “the hottest artist on the classical music planet.” Tickets are affordable, there are group discounts available and there is even onstage seating.
