Lane’s End has now announced its stallion roster for the 2014 breeding season. Owned by William S. Farish, Lane's End is standing an incredible 18 amazing and talented contingent of stallions.
The successful stallion Smart Strike sired by Mr Prospector out of Classy ‘n Smart by Smarten is leading sire twice. He currently has nearly 100 stakes winners among his progeny. Smart Strike’s stud fee for 2014 has risen to $100,000 from $85,000.
Other stud fees have dropped from the 2013 season. Lane’s End standing stallions are listed alphabetically with their 2014 breeding fees beside each name. Those stallions not showing a number in the right column remain the same for 2013 and 2014. Stallions with numbers in the right column have changed fees from 2013 to 2014.
Farish published a press release in which he said,
We remain committed to presenting a versatile roster again for the breeding community. And we are equally pleased to keep the fees at a responsible level as the industry continues to rebound towards improving financial opportunities in the breeding and racing industry.
