Made a small purchase at a store, in the change was a fifty cent coin. Kennedy half dollar. 1996 P is the date and mint mark. Philadelphia is the mark shown by P. The condition of the coin is extra fine. It does have some scratches from circulation. The Liberty letters above the President's_ head are all visible and in good shape. The year of mint is clear and strong. The p is worn, but visible. On the back of the coin the letters are strong and clear. The eagle is in good shape. Shield is excellent. United States of America over half dollar.
The side of the coin is in good condition. The coin was made for public use, single struck at the mint. Clad metal, no precious metal content. Going value is two dollars. Limited run of half dollars may see the value climb, good coin to hold and see. Since I got it in my change, my investment is only fifty cents.
