Lance Armstrong declines 'Dancing with the Stars'

Lance Armstrong reportedly turned down an offer to appear on 'Dancing with the Stars', according to an Entertainment Weekly report on Thursday.

The disgraced cyclist was allegedly offered a large sum to appear on the show, but declined. Armstrong's rep told released a statement regarding the offer, saying, "Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offer."

Armstrong is among several high profile celebrities who have rejected DWTS, including Lindsey Lohan and Ann Romney. Celebrities have been offered as much as $550,000 to appear on the show.

According to Ivestopedia, Armstrong's reported net worth is about $125 million, however he faces potential fines of about $4 million after he was cited for using performance enhancing drugs and stripped of most of his medals last fall. Armstrong was also issued a lifetime ban on professional cycling.

Armstrong recently appeared on Oprah's Next Chapter where he confessed publicly for the first time that he was doping during his 13 year career as a highly competitive cyclist. In that time he won a record seven Tour de France races; all those titles have seen been stripped away from him.
