Can Chap Oscar save Lance Armstrong?

From my vantage point life is very much like a coin; you can spend it any way you wish, but as a Chaplain the fact of the matter is you can spend it only once. Choosing one thing over all the rest throughout life is a very difficult thing to do would you agree? This becomes especially true when the choices are so many and the possibilities are so close. For me the choice is on the basis of first things first. We must determine who and what comes first. Life places before us on a daily basis hundreds of possibilities. What priority takes first place in your life?
To me it is a reality that I am not left with numerous possibilities. Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior gave me many years ago the absolute top priority. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you (Matt 6:33). My child Chap Oscar this is your #1 priority; this comes first. Above and beyond everything else, pursue this first. Everything is filtered through the Matthew 6:33 filter.
It is this filter that helps me to conduct myself in terms of this top priority. Now let me step back and let my hair down and share with you if you’ve read this far, priorities are always a tough thing to determine. Sometimes as my wife Marsha and my friends will confirm that I think I’m on target but I’m not. I can’t even count the times God has graciously yet firmly overruled even the things that I have fervently prayed for.
When I began studying this “But seek first” I realized I was dealing with a contrast. Our Lord makes no bones about it and says no one can serve two masters. The key word is serve .So today my little question to you is what are you gripping tightly? Now if you can’t let go of “it” it’s a priority to you. For now let us look at the awesome promise in verse 33 “All These Things Shall Be Added to You.” Those of us who seek them can often be off target but to those who seek Him are well provided for. Thank you for taking time to read this on today and my encouragement is to let God add to you from His hands rather than your own.... or....OWN!!!!
This is a challenging blueprint for breaking out of patterns that in the end lead nowhere irregardless of what you're riding on!
