Silver City Rodeo will be among the five musical delights performing tonight at Tellus360 for Fig Magazine’s launch. Fig will be launching their Spring issue which appropriately covers music. The four other groups performing are: The Harry V Trio, 3 West, Popvsky Students, and the Blue Light Special. The free evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to continue through 11 p.m. Tellus 360 is located at 24 East King Street. Parked out front with be Barron von Schwein’s food truck and Lancaster Cupcakes’ food truck.
Toinght is also the "Latino Arts Festival: First Thursday Latino" at the Ware Center. The festival, which begins at 6 p.m., is a three day long celebration of the Latino culture. Tonight the art of Carmen Teresa Gonzalez Jaiman will be featured. She studied at the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture – School of Fine Arts, the School of Design at Alto de Chavon, Dominican Republic and at the College of Education at the University of Puerto Rico. A resident of Lancaster, her works have been exhibited in Central America, the Caribbean, and the United States. The Ware Center is located at 42 North Prince Street.
Lancaster City Police have identified the female pedestrian who was struck and killed yesterday as 52 yr old Catherine Dowling of Lancaster. A two vehicle crash occurred yesterday afternoon at the intersection of West Lemon and North Water Streets. One of the vehicles swerved, lost control and struck Dowling. The incident is still under investigation.
A Lancaster man was ticketed for being on property that was closed to the public at the Niagara Falls recently. He and another tourist were on a closed, ice-covered section of Terrapin Point at Niagara Falls State Park, according to the Buffalo News.
“Folklore” will be the featured exhibit at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) through 18 April. The contemporary works of art by Amy Cutler, Clare Grill, Clare Rojas and others will be featured during the month long exhibit. PCA&D is handicapped accessible. The school is located at 204 N Prince Street.

West End Yoga is holding “Yoga By Donation” tonight with Amber. Join in for a 90 minute class that is half vinyasa, and half restorative, and will focus on bringing balance to Manipura Chakra. Class starts at 6 p.m. The Studio is located at 221 West Walnut Street.
Yesterday Armstrong World Industries, Inc. announced a secondary public offering of 3,900,000 common shares of the Company held by The Armstrong World Industries, Inc. Asbestos Personal Injury Settlement Trust and Armor TPG Holdings (TPG). Upon completion of this offering, TPG will no longer hold any of Armstrong’s common shares.
The 2014 Gourmet Gala, the annual fundraiser for the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County, will be held on Sunday, 18 May, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the historic Mylin House (1787) and the Cultural Center at Willow Valley Communities in Willow Street. A Gourmet Gala ticket costs $75 for members of the Historic Preservation Trust or the Central Pennsylvania Preservation Society or $85 for non-members.
