Lancaster City Morning Buzz: Sunday, 6 April

Lancaster City Police (LCPD) responded to a shooting at the Crispus Attucks Friday evening. The shooting victim is a 16 year old male from Lancaster City. He suffered from a single gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. The victim, according to LCPD, was shot inside the center during a private party. Numerous fights were reported in that general area during the investigation and City officers received assistance from Manheim Township police to assist with crowd control. No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation. The Crispus Attucks Center is located at 407 Howard Avenue.

18th Annual Taste of Lancaster will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lancaster County Convention Center. Join this fundraising event for endless tasting opportunities, live entertainment, raffle and silent auction! Proceeds will benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

Are you an artists in search of a model? The Fulton Street Arts Cooperative will host 1st Sunday Open Model Sessions beginning today. These sessions will be held every first Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and third Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sessions are open to artists of all levels who are at least 18 years of age. The Fulton Opera House presents Mahler’s Titan & Tsontakis, part of the classic concert series. The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Fulton is located at 12 North Price Street.

Several Lancaster area artists showed their artwork last night during First Friday. Most of the exhibits will run throughout April.

Lancaster City Public Works will be flushing water distribution mains beginning 6 April. The flushing will be done between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
