Start your morning with a cool run through Central Park. The Lancaster Road Runners Club (LRRC) will meet up at the Lancaster County Park this morning. Biking more your thing? The Lancaster Bike Club has several rides scheduled. For more information, go to www.lancasterbikeclub.org.

Second Hand Suits will be performing at Tellus360’s Session Sunday today. The set is due to begin at 2 p.m. Tellus360 is located at 24 East King Street.

At 5 p.m. Tellus360 offers a Traditional Irish Set Dancing Class. Set dancing is not at all like the step dancing most are familiar with through Riverdance. Set dancing is more akin to square dancing. Come out and learn this traditional Irish dance. The cost is $7 a class or four classes for $20. Come by yourself or with a group!

Tickets are now on sale for many exciting events at the Ware Center, North Prince Street. Upcoming events include: Allegro Chamber Orchestra on 23 January; a play titled “Humble Honor Witness to Gettysburg” on 25 January; An Evening of Chamber Music on 31 January; the FamFunFest on 1 February; and the day long Red Rose & Shamrock Irish Music Festival on Saturday, 8 February.

The Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival is almost here. Do you have your tickets yet? This is probably the area’s largest music festival! Featuring a variety of Blues, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Funk & Soul, Zydeco, Polka, Rock n'Roll, and Reggae, this Festival has something for everyone! The Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival will be 21 & 22 February. Five different venues throughout the City will host the various musicians on nine different stages. With the exception of the Ware Center, the acts are all 21+. For more information, and to order tickets, go to www.lancasterrrotsandblues.com. The Festival is still accepting volunteers too!

This week, PPL Electric Utilities plans to begin a project to replace old power lines and related electrical equipment in Lancaster’s Old Town neighborhood. The project will improve service reliability, according to PPL. Approximately 720 feet of underground and 480 feet of overhead power lines and six transformers will be replaced to improve reliability for about 65 customers on Church, S. Duke and Vine streets.

Congratulations go out to Glen Shikunov and Jeff Ouellet! Shikunov, a Lancaster resident, recently joined law firm Hartman Underhill & Brubaker LLP (HUB) as an associate. His focus is real estate, zoning and land use, and business services. He speaks fluent Russian and enjoys competitive chess, power-lifting and golf. Ouellet, a partner at HUB, was recently named president-elect of the Lancaster Bar Association. He has been with HUB since 2007.
