Today is the last day for book sale

Are you a bibliophile? Today is the last day for the Winter ReSort Book Sale put on by the Friends of the Lancaster Public Library. The sale is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Today is half-price day. Over 20,000 books are for sale in a variety of subject matters. The ReSort Center is located at 225 North Marshall Street.

Over 30 paintings and drawings by the late Robert Cunningham (1924-2010) will be on display at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) through 28 February. PCA&D is handicapped accessible. The school is located at 204 N Prince Street.

The new parking garage in the 400 block of North Queen Street will open Monday! The garage will hold 265 spaces.

February may be Black History Month but mark your calendars now for the African American History Conference on 5 April. The Conference is sponsored by the African American Historical Society of South Central Pennsylvania and will be held at the Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology, 750 East King Street.

Yesterday a woman was killed on East King Street as a result of a vehicle accident. According to the Lancaster Newspaper, East King Street was closed for nearly five hours from City Mill Road to North Conestoga Drive.

This past weekend was the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival. Venues throughout the City came alive with various genres of music from new locals to big name artists.
