Today is of course Super Bowl Sunday! The Denver Broncos will face the Seattle Seahawks in New Jersey this evening. The game has a tie to Lancaster County. Manheim Township graduate Anna Moon will be performing with the Syracuse University Marching Band today at the game! Today’s Morning Buzz therefore will have a sports and fitness theme.

Do you enjoy running? The Lancaster Road Runners Club (LRRC) will meet up today at Lancaster County Park. Registration is now open for Run 4 Luck. The run itself will be Saturday, 15 March and runs through the School Lane Hills Neighborhood. The race benefits the Junior League of Lancaster. Run by yourself or with a team. The 55th Annual Lancaster Muzzle Loading Rifle Association Gun Show will be held today at Lancaster Farm & Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road. Show times for today is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Win a 10 game pack to the Lancaster Barnstormers for their 10th season The Lancaster Barnstormers wants your 10 favorite memories of the last nine years with the Barnstormers. Share them with the team. Ten winners will be selected. The deadline is 28 February. Winners will be announced on 1 March via the Barnstormers’ website and social media.

Congratulations to Robby Cardina. Cardina, who is from Lancaster, is a freshman at Penn State University. Over the weekend, at Penn State Nationals, he set personal records in the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and 1000-meter run, according to PSU Athletics.

A final word concerning the Super Bowl: Fly Magazine lists various Super Bowl celebrations today. Some places are simply showing the game. Others are running drink specials. Many are running food and drink specials. Not all venues are open today. The Lancaster Dispensing Company, according to their Facebook, will be closed today.

Looking for brunch before the game? Commonwealth on Queen is introducing a new brunch item on their menu today. It’s called Breakfast on the Farm. The dish includes potato & veggie hash, spiced pulled pork, topped with poached eggs! Commonwealth on Queen is located at 301 North Queen Street. Remember on-street parking is free on Sundays!
