Lancaster may see some flurries today but, for the most part, it looks like we may have escaped the “major snowstorm” initially forecasted for this weekend. Next week may be a different story … but that’s next week! Today, get out and enjoy Lancaster, especially the Red Rose & Shamrock Irish Music Festival!

The Ware Center hosts the Red Rose & Shamrock Irish Music Festival. The day long festival begins at noon. Enjoy a day of Celtic music, Irish dancers, and of course food! The festival is sponsored by Millersville University, the Lancaster Irish American Cultural Society and Tellus360. The headliner is Barleyjuice. Also performing today will be Charlie Zahm & Tad Marks, Fire in the Glen, Kilmaine Saints, and the Rebel Hearts Irish Dancers. The festival is expected to continue through 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at MUTicketsOnline.com. The Ware Center is located at 42 North Prince Street.

The Farewell Drifters will perform tonight at Tellus360. This folk-rock group will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door.

The Suburban Pennsylvania Spring Home Show will be held this weekend at the Lancaster County Convention Center. The show will run Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday’s admission is $6 and Sunday’s admission will be $3.

Try a yoga session at Tellus360, 24 E King Street. Class begins at 9:30 a.m. today.

Restock today at Lancaster Central Market. The Market is open today until 2 p.m.

Arsenic and Old Lace is currently at the Fulton. The comedy runs through 16 February. The Fulton is located at 12 North Prince Street.

Time is running out to get your tickets for the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival? This is probably the area’s largest music festival! Featuring a variety of Blues, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Funk & Soul, Zydeco, Polka, Rock n'Roll, and Reggae, this Festival has something for everyone! The Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival will be 21 & 22 February. Five different venues throughout the City will host the various musicians on nine different stages. With the exception of the Ware Center, the acts are all 21+. For more information, and to order tickets, go to www.lancasterrrotsandblues.com. The Festival is still accepting volunteers too!

PCA&D will hold a memorial service today for faculty member and founder David K. Snyder, who passed away on 29 December 2013. The gathering will meet at 1 p.m .in the Atrium at the College.

Over 30 paintings and drawings by the late Robert Cunningham (1924-2010) will be on display at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) through 28 February. PCA&D is handicapped accessible. The school is located at 204 N Prince Street.

Congratulations to Barnstormers Daryle Ward, Jason Urquidez, Nate Reed. During the off season here, these three are playing for a team in Mexico. That team has made it to the Championship game for the Caribbean World Series. The game is tonight at 7:30 p.m. and can be viewed online at ESPN.
