Lancaster City Morning Buzz: Monday, 3 February

Many schools and businesses around the County are delayed or even closed today due to the snow. The School District of Lancaster and Lancaster Catholic High School both have a two hour delay at this time (0630). The County Courthouses and offices are also operating on a two hour delay. The Lancaster County of Aging has closed senior centers today. Lancaster Country Day School is closed. The Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) is opening at 10 a.m. today.

The weather has not caused everyone is closed though. The Prince Street Café is open. Stop in for a nice hot drink on your way to work. It is located at 15 North Prince Street.

Winter this year has been bitterly cold at times. It has taken its toll on everyone, including shelters. The Water Street Ministries has released a list of “immediate needs.” The list is too long to print here in its entirety but reads can go to www.wsm.org/needs to view it. It includes food, toiletries, items for babies and children, specific items for women, items specifically for men, medical items, dental items and miscellaneous items. The Collection Center is located on Conestoga Street at Prince Street.

Tonight the Historical Architectural Review Board will meet for its monthly meeting. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the Southern Market Center.

Knitting can be a relaxing craft. Learn how to knit at the Library! This free session is held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and is for children and teens. The Library is located at 125 North Duke Street.

De-stress tonight with a yoga session at Tellus360. Class is at 6 p.m. Tellus360 is located at 24 East King Street.
