Franklin & Marshall College will present “Who is Babalu?” on Monday. This lecture by Paul Austerlitz, Associate Professor of Music and Africana Studies at Gettysburg College, is open to the public. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Bonchek Lecture Hall in the Ann & Richard Barshinger Life Sciences & Philosophy Building.
The Ware Center will show “Like Father, Like Son” tonight at 5 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. This 121 minute film is in Japanese with English subtitles. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students.
Knitting can be a relaxing craft. Learn how to knit at the Library! This free session is held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and is for children and teens. The Library is located at 125 North Duke Street.
“Folklore” will be the featured exhibit at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) through 18 April. The contemporary works of art by Amy Cutler, Clare Grill, Clare Rojas and others will be featured during the month long exhibit. PCA&D is handicapped accessible. The school is located at 204 N Prince Street.
Monday is Service Industry Night at the Federal Taphouse, 201 North Queen Street, from 9 p.m. to midnight.
There will be a Community Budget Meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at McCaskey East High School. Today also starts kindergarten registration for the School District of Lancaster.
Single game tickets for the Lancaster Barnstormers are now available. Stop by Clipper Stadium on Prince Street today to get your tickets. The first home game is scheduled for 1 May. Local health and beauty aid drug store, Savemart as the premier sponsor of the 10th Anniversary Season!
Get out your calendars and save these dates! Long’s Park will hold its annual Art & Craft Festival over Labor Day Weekend. This year those dates are 29 – 31 August. The Second Annual Lancaster Roots & Blues is slated for Friday, 6 February and Saturday, 7 February, 2015. For a limited time, you can reserve your tickets early at just $85 for both days.
