There is still time to order your tickets for the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival? This is probably the area’s largest music festival! Featuring a variety of Blues, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Funk & Soul, Zydeco, Polka, Rock n'Roll, and Reggae, this Festival has something for everyone! The Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival will be 21 & 22 February. Five different venues throughout the City will host the various musicians on nine different stages. With the exception of the Ware Center, the acts are all 21+. For more information, and to order tickets, go to www.lancasterrrotsandblues.com. The Festival is still accepting volunteers too!
A word of caution and preparation: While Lancaster does not see snow in its immediate forecast, it may soon. Weather models (different than a forecast) indicate we are in for a major blizzard next week. S&S Storm Chasing posted a possibility of a storm early next week. The Weather Channel’s 10 day forecast indicates snow showers on Tuesday. The weekend however may be a different story. Both S&S Storm Chasing Team and the Mid Atlantic Storm Watch indicate we may get two to three feet between 8-10 February. Yes, we said feet. Again, these are models and not a forecast. Keep an eye on local forecasts and be prepared.
