Friday is Music Friday! MOOSE, Series 42 and Music For Everyone are the movers behind Music Friday. JP Harris (of J.P. Harris & The Tough Choices) w/Joshua Black Wilkins music will perform tonight at Tellus360. The show is slated to start at 8 p.m. There is a $15 cover charge.

Marieann Meringolo will perform Friday night at the Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street. Meringolo is an award winning cabaret singer. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 and are available at

Tonight is also "Ladies Night Out" at BUiLDiNG CHARACTER! Enjoy free drink samples, free sweet treats, free massages, and live music. Folk singer and songwriter Matt Wheeler will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Franklin & Marshall Philharmonia concert will perform “The Creation of Earth” tonight at the Ann & Richard Barshinger Center for Musical Arts. The free concert is slated for 8 p.m. Tickets are not required.

Congratulations to the Lancaster City Police Department! The LCPD received the 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award yesterday. The award is presented by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for exemplary support of National Guard and military Reserve employees.

Rachel’s Café & Creperie is holding a month long relay for life fundraiser. Order a Peanut Butter Nutella Mocha and Rachel’s will donate $1 for each special drink to the cause! Rachel’s is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and is located at 201 West Walnut Street.

"Young Frankenstein" will be performed this month at the Fulton Theatre . Evening shows are 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Matinees will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Fulton is located at 12 N. Prince Street.

The Lancaster County Young Artists Exhibition is an annual juried show featuring hundreds of works by students in grades 7-12. Selected artwork is then displayed at Demuth Museum, 120 E. King Street, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Local artist Diane La Fontaine’s reflections of rocks, rivers and stream beds will be displayed at the Artisan Gallery, 114 N. Prince Street, this month. The Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

“Folklore” will be the featured exhibit at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) through 18 April. The contemporary works of art by Amy Cutler, Clare Grill, Clare Rojas and others will be featured during the month long exhibit. An Open House will be held on 22 March for interested prospective students. PCA&D is handicapped accessible. The school is located at 204 N Prince Street.

Single game tickets for the Lancaster Barnstormers are now available. Stop by Clipper Stadium on Prince Street today to get your tickets. The first home game is scheduled for 1 May. Local health and beauty aid drug store, Savemart as the premier sponsor of the 10th Anniversary Season!

Get out your calendars and save these dates! Lancaster Restaurant Week is next week. Also, the Second Annual Lancaster Roots & Blues is slated for Friday, 6 February and Saturday, 7 February, 2015. For a limited time, you can reserve your tickets early at just $85 for both days.
