The snow has finally stopped in time for Valentine’s Day! If the recent snow storms have interfered with your plans, there are still several options. Flowers by Paulette is open today from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for all those procrastinators!

Romance your Valentine with music. The Ware Center will present Allegro’s Music in the Round: “Love is All Around” tonight at 6:45 p.m. The Ware Center is located at 42 North Prince Street. Errorsmith will return to Tellus360 tonight. There is a $5 cover charge at the door. They will take the stage at 9 p.m.

The theater is always the perfect date night. Arsenic and Old Lace is currently at the Fulton. The comedy runs through Sunday. The Fulton is located at 12 North Prince Street.

Have you made your dinner plans and reservations? There are so many dining options in Lancaster. Annie Bailey’s offers traditional Irish Faire and has a special menu for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant/bar is located at 28-30 East King Street. The Cork & Cap Restaurant has a special three course Valentine’s Day special meal planned today. Reserve your table by calling the restaurant at 717-735-2025. The restaurant is located at 480 New Holland Avenue. Chef Anthony Davis has several special dishes designed for Valentine’s Day at POUR, 114 North Prince Street. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 717-290-8080.

The weather is still the big news today. The Snow Emergency in Lancaster will be lifted at 8 a.m. Residents need to remove vehicles from City garages by 10 a.m. since the snow emergency is being lifted. Street cleaning has been suspended due to the weather. It will begin again on Tuesday, 18 February. Amtrak expects to operate on its regular schedule today. Yesterday the storm affected the Keystone Service, which services our area here.

The snow and ice are still affecting business hours of many schools, businesses and government offices. The School District of Lancaster is operating on a two hour delay. The Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) will open at 10 a.m. today. The County offices and courthouse is running on a two hour delay. The Lancaster Public Library will open at noon. The Prince Street Café will open at 7 a.m. today. (Schedules current as of 4 a.m.)

There is more snow in the forecast. The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting snow again tonight into Saturday morning. They are not expecting much more than an inch of new accumulation. Monday will bring more snow.
