Today is Earth Day! The first Earth Day was back in 1970, just one year after a destructive oil spill in California. Lancaster Central Market is open until 4 p.m. today. Join POUR at 6 p.m. for a session on beekeeping and bee awareness. Roaring Brook Market is celebrating Earth Day Week! Today’s special, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. is Healthy Snacking.

The Lancaster Barnstormers continue Spring Training by taking on the Lancaster Bible College at 2 p.m. in an Exhibition Game. Gates open at 1 p.m. Admission is free today and you are permitted to bring your own food into the ballpark today.

Go vegan today! Tellus360 is hosting a free vegan plant based whole food potluck dinner. There are some simple rules. All dishes naturally must be vegan and use plant based whole food ingredients. Use as few processes ingredients as possible and no animal products. Bring the recipe to share with others and a to-go container for left-overs. Tellus360 will provide the plates, silverware and water. The dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Tellus360 is heading to Nepal for two and a half weeks of soaking up the culture, religion and natural beauty. The final information session will be Tuesday, 22 April at 6 p.m. The trip is scheduled for 12-29 October.

Tellus360 presents “Old Woods New Sounds” tonight. Soloist Kristin Sims and Pianist Maria Thompson Corley will perform at 8 p.m. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the cover charge is $12. Tellus360 is located at 24 East King Street.

Grab your dancing shoes! Buddy Holly comes alive at the Fulton Theatre. Tonight is Pay What You Want night. The performance will start at 7:30 p.m.

Catalyst Quartet will perform at the Ware Center at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $23. Seniors are $20. Students are $5. The Ware Center is located at 42 North Prince Street.

Tuesday, the Library offers Legos & More as well as a Teen Gaming session. On Tuesdays and Saturdays the Library holds regular Literacy Classes for those wishing to communicate better in English. Tuesday classes are at 1 p.m. and Saturday classes are at 11 a.m. Classes are free but do require registration. The Library is located at 125 North Duke Street.

The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry will hold its Women in Business Program at 11:30 a.m. this morning. The meeting will be held at the Meadia Heights Golf Club. The cost is $32 for Chamber members and $60 for non members.

Lancaster Public Works is continuing the flushing of the water distribution system. The flushing will be done from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through 30 May. If your water appears cloudy, let it run for a moment. If the problem continues, call the Water Quality Lab at 717-291-4818.
