Lamborghini Huracán is the epic car that has the public more than simply excited this week, as over 700 orders and counting have been placed for the sleek hot rod before the Italian ride has even hit the market. Ever since Lamborghini unveiled their latest model, the Huracán has been eyed especially by VIP clients for its impressive automotive features and stunning design. The building tension over this car's arrival has likely led to the huge rush early on. Web Pro News shares this Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, that the model has already had a number of private viewings since its initial introduction, and the Italian company has reportedly sold several hundred before its official release.
The Lamborghini Huracán is being called by Lamborghini as the true successor to what was an “entry level Gallardo,” a popular vehicle that stood out as the most popular model of the world-renowned manufacturer for the past decade. Since the Gallardo’s release over ten years ago, overall sales for the car company have skyrocketed during that time frame, starting at 250 and boosting up to over 2,000 per year. Before its “successor” the Huracán’s arrival, Gallardo set the bar at an impressive 14,000 cars sold since 2004. Now, over 700 orders have been placed for the Huracán before making its way to the market.
“As to be expected with this sleek hot rod, the Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Coupe has some very impressive new features, including a revamped version of the Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V10 engine, boasting up to 610 horsepower and a powerful 413 pound-feet of torque. The expensive ride also has a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which can leap from 0 to a speedy 62 mph in less than 3.3 seconds. The car’s overall speeds are said to hit 200 mph, while the ride offers all wheel drive and weights over 3,000 pounds."
According to the press release on the Lamborghini Huracán:
While the Huracán won’t be officially available for public viewing until March at the hotly anticipated 2014 Geneva Motor Show, a select number of Lamborghini’s VIP clients have reportedly had the special honor of viewing firsthand the upcoming hot rod, as well as filing their initial orders. Roughly 700 orders and counting have been made as of Thursday evening. The hot model also stands as a new contender for the coveted “Star of the Show” Award in Geneva later this year.
As cited by one local news source, “Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann says that the official date for the Huracán to go on sale here in the U.S. is March 4, 2014.”
