The Lammys, organized by Lambda Literary Foundation (LLF) is now in its 26th year covering 24 categories of LGBT books and should not be confused with the Bisexual Book Awards, organized by the Bi Writers Association, now in its second year, which focuses solely on bisexual books. The Bisexual Book Awards will be announcing its finalists in April and the awards ceremony will be Saturday May 31.

Finalists for the Lammys were chosen after reviewing a record 746 submissions (up from 687 last year) from 352 publishers (up from 332 last year). Submissions came from major mainstream publishers and from academic presses, from both long-established and new LGBT publishers, as well as from emerging publish-on-demand technologies.

The judges consisted of more than 90 literary professionals, including booksellers, book reviewers, librarians, authors, and previous Lammy winners and finalists volunteered countless hours of reading, critical thinking, and invigorating discussion to select the finalists in 24 categories.

Tickets for the Lambda Literary Awards ceremony and after-party are now on sale. For information, visit LLF’s website. For the month of March only, early bird tickets are $100 for the ceremony only and $200 for the ceremony plus after-party. Prices will increase by $25 beginning April 1st. Pioneer and Trustee Award honorees, the master of ceremonies, and presenters will be announced the third week of April.
