Lamar Odom enters his plea on the DUI charges. According to TMZ, he entered a not guilty plea.. Lamar’s presence wasn’t required in the court room, so he had his lawyer, Rich Hutton, enter the plea on his behalf. Rich is the NBA basketball free agent’s lawyer and he represented Lamar.
The judge set the pretrial date for next month, but until then, Lamar must obey all the laws.
On August 30, police stopped Lamar on the suspicion of drunk driving because he was driving in a slow serpentine manner on the freeway. He refused to take a drug/alcohol test, so his driver’s license was immediately suspended. Lamar’s name has made headlines for his alleged drug addiction, and his refusal to seek help by going into rehab. His marriage to Khloe Kardashian is close to ending because he won’t seek help for his crack cocaine addiction. There are also reports that Lamar cheated on Khloe several times.
It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Will Lamar be able to play basketball again, or have the drugs destroyed his career? Will Khloe give Lamar another chance or is she going to go through with the rumored divorce papers?
