The gossip site states that the former NBA star was recently photographed purchasing a cleaning product prominently known to double as an ingredient for making "homemade crack pipes."
Is TMZ paranoid in comparing L.O. to "Pookie", or is there some substance to their claim? Let's take a look at the evidence and Examiner readers will decide.
On Tuesday, after meeting with Khloe Kardashian's assistant to gather some belongings, Odom and his driver stopped by a San Fernando Valley pharmacy and went shopping.
The purchased items included "Chore Boy" copper scrubbing pads, which TMZ and the urban dictionary define as a "brand name of scouring pad used also by people smoking crack to retain some of the cocaine vapors."
But wait, there's more. Whoever wrote this piece also took the time to "Google" this thing to build his/her case.
The author encourages readers to "type [Chore Boy] into Google ... and 'crack' is the first auto-fill topic besides the product name."
Are you convinced yet? Well, TMZ also takes it a step further and credits Forbes (yes, Forbes magazine) for having written an article review about this very product.
According to the business magazine, Chore Boy is used "as a filter in makeshift crack pipes."
Verdict: Is Lamar Odom turning into "Pookie" or is TMZ reaching on this one?
