Lamar Odom and ex-girlfriend Liza Morales were in court on Monday, trying to hash out custody and visitation issues pertaining to their children, Destiny, 14, and Lamar, Jr., 11. The New York Post reported on March 5 that Odom, who plays basketball for the LA Clippers, was found asleep on a court room bench by a police officer.
Behind closed doors attorneys for Odom and Morales were trying to work out details regarding the former couple’s custody arrangement for their two children. As Odom waited for the attorneys to come to an agreement, the 6’10” husband of reality television star Khloe Kardashian fell asleep on a his legs dangling over the short bench. Lamar Odom caught the attention of a police officer who asked him if he was okay. Lamar assured the officer that he was fine but the officer told Odom, “I need you to sit up.” Odom complied with the officer’s request, but slumped over, resting his head on his hands.
Liza Morales and Lamar Odom met as students at Christ the King High School in Queens, N.Y. and Morales claims that her romance with Odom ruined her relationship with her father. When Morales started dating Lamar, her father, who is Puerto Rican did not approve of her dating a black man.
Morales appears on the TLC reality show “Starter Wives,” even though she and Odom were never married. Liza Morales has said that the hostilities with Odom are “so tense” she only speaks to the father of her children through third parties. Morales claims things between her and Odom were cordial until he married Khloe Kardashian after a 30 day whirlwind romance. Yet, Morales claims she and Kardashian have no issues between them, even having one pleasant meeting with her.
