'Lalaban Ako':the inspirational song of a journeyman, a husband, a father, a son and a human being

HOLLYWOOD, California - Deep  in the heart of every human being, no matter how rational or sceptical, there compels an urge, that is both to inspire and to entertain. Yes, Manny Pacquiao's innate ability to express his thoughts, past and present, has helped him most along the way.

Stirring! In fact, "Lalaban Ako", in English "I will fight", composed by Lito Camo, does not have  the substance of  a well-defined narrative. But, it surely brings  the perfect climax for a story of mission and wonder, eloquently woven by honesty and brutal ride in one of the most memorable  moments of Manny Pacquiao's journey in the sport of boxing.

Here's Pacquiao's other music album:

1. Bilog Ang Mundo
2. Para Sa 'Yo Ang Laban Na 'To
3. Pagsubok Lamang Yan
4. Biyaheng Pag-asa
5. Ipakita Mo
6. Ikaw At Ako
7. Hindi Ko Kaya
8. Kanta Tayo
9. Para Sa'yo Ang Laban Na 'To (Minus One)

Regarded as the 'National Treasure' of the Philippines, Pacquiao keeps his composure up as a man of music, physical force and now as a politician.

A family man, his inspiration for his family and more never stops, even of his recent victory on May 10 election for the 15th Congress of the Philippines in the lone district of Sarangani. His voice is of the hearts of the less informed and the less cared.

"Lalaban Ako" is probably the most inspirational song of all time, surpassing the Philippine National Anthem, "Lupang Hinirang", composed by Julian Felipe on June 12, 1898.

Meanwhile, banking on his ability to inspire and to captivate the hearts of young and old  of his humility, Pacquiao will carry once again the flag of the Philippines as he readies himself to receive the most coveted award from the famous Boxing Writers Association of America. Such awarding ceremony is scheduled on its 85th annual BWAA awards dinner which will take place at Roosevelt Hotel in New York City on June 4, 2010.

According to the said awarding organization, Pacquiao will take home not only the BWAA's newly named "Sugar Ray Robinson Fighter of th Year" award for 2009 but also one better, "Fighter of the Decade".

The said  association reported that it is "Pacquiao's third BWAA "Fighter of the Year" award, tying him with Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield for the most in the history of the organization".

We know that Manny can't sing he has a very awful voice, don't be so "plastic". If i'm a true friend of Manny i'll tell him to quit singing and i won't be scared, not just because hes giving honor to our country that doesnt mean that everything he does is right.

  • Abdur Rahim 1 year ago

Theres nothing wrong with visayan accent but not in singing it tears your ear apart.

    to ray allen:

The author did not mention about Pacman's voice. He simply likes the message and the melody of the song. Sure, it is indeed inspirational.
