On Thursday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Lakers will look to take down the Oklahoma City Thunder at STAPLES Center.

The Lakers (18-33) hope to bounce back after suffering a loss against the Chicago Bulls this past Sunday. The Lakers have struggled on the court as of late, losing eight of their last ten games and are entering their second of a six-game homestand. The Lakers have been hampered by a series of injuries to six different players. Jodie Meeks, Nick Young, Jordan Farmar, Xavier Henry, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol will all be out for Thursday’s game against the Thunder. Instead, the Lakers will count on Steve Nash and Chris Kaman who have stepped up in the past several games.

On the contrary, Oklahoma City (41-12) has won eight of their past ten games and currently holds the top spot in the Western Conference standings. Thunder forward Kevin Durant leads the NBA in scoring with an average of 31.2 points and is selected to represent the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game this weekend.

The two teams met earlier this season in Oklahoma City with the Thunder coming out on top 122-97 behind 31 points from Durant. Both teams will look to head into the All-Star break on a positive note with a win on Thursday.
