Lakers News: Pau Gasol will miss fifth straight game with concussion

After missing the last four games with a concussion suffered in the loss to the Denver Nuggets, Pau Gasol will miss at least one more game after officially being ruled out on Jan. 14 for Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks according to Eric Pincus of the L.A. Times:

Pau Gasol will not be available for the Lakers on Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, as he is still trying to recover from the concussion he suffered on Jan. 6 against the Denver Nuggets.

This will be Gasol's 13th missed game this year, fifth with the concussion.

With Gasol out for a fifth straight game and Jordan Hill out for the rest of the season due to hip surgery, the Lakers will continue to turn to up-and-comer Earl Clark to shoulder the load in the frontcourt.

Clark has played much better than anticipated over the course of the last four games with Gasol and Hill out with injuries. The 24-year-old has been averaging a double-double over the last three games with 15.0 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Along with Clark stepping up his game in the absence of Gasol and Hill, Dwight Howard returned to the floor in the win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Howard played well in his return scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds.
