Superstar Kobe Bryant has only played in six games during the 2013-14 NBA season as the result of recovering a ruptured Achilles tendon and a knee fracture. Despite the injuries, Kobe has stayed in the public eye doing a number of things including promoting his new shoe, Kobe 9 Elite. The man known as the "Black Mamba" recently starred in a new Foot Locker commercial promoting the Kobe 9 Elite debuting on March 5 with the following statement on Foot Locker's YouTube channel:
Kobe Bryant knows no bounds to becoming the most innovative athlete-human-animal-organism on the planet. There's nothing Kobe Bryant can't do. He could make anything amazing, even a piano. Introducing the most beautiful piano the world has ever seen—the Kobe Piano. Made by Kobe. #Approved
In the new commercial promoting his latest edition Nike signature shoe, Kobe is seen in the forest cutting down a tree to make the "Kobe piano" out of it. Kobe is seen shaving the piece of wood down and making an incredible looking piano in the shape of his logo used by Nike.
Musician Lionel Richie also makes an appearance in Foot Locker commercial playing the "Kobe piano" with tears in his eyes.
Although there's been no indication if Kobe will make it back to the floor for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, the five-time NBA champion is keeping busy with his off-the-court commitments.
