The Los Angeles Lakers are on the verge of drastic changes with a high pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and a sizable amount of cap space at their disposal. One player that is getting a lot of buzz as a potential number one overall draft pick is Duke's Jabari Parker and apparently he would considering playing for the Lakers a blessing according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters on April 11:
Jabari Parker on possibility of being a Laker: "Being here would be a blessing." (On @ESPNLA710)
Parker made an appearance on ESPN 710 with Mark Willard and Mychal Thompson to talk about his future and the fact that he hasn't made a decision on whether or not to leave Duke after one season on the collegiate level.
As arguably the first player picked in the 2014 NBA Draft, Parker deciding to leave Duke for the NBA will completely change the outlook of the draft on June 26. Parker is considered the most NBA-ready player on the college level right now, but will receive competition from Kansas' Andrew Wiggins for the top spot.
Wiggins didn't play well during the NCAA Tournament with Kansas losing to Stanford, but many believe he has a lot of potential and could be a star on the NBA level.
Along with Parker and Wiggins, Dante Exum will be a name mentioned quite often leading up to the 2014 NBA Draft. Exum wasn't able to put his skills on display on the collegiate level, but has done enough in Australia to turn heads and merit being selected in the top 10.
Exum has been talked about a lot in Los Angeles over the past few months. The Australian draft prospect recently signed with Kobe Bryant's agent Rob Pelinka and has made numerous appearances at the Staples Center this season. Exum has being a Laker in the near future appears likely with the point guard showing interest in wanting to be drafted by storied franchise.
