The Los Angeles Lakers were able to snap a two-game skid on Sun. Nov. 3 after coming out on top against the Atlanta Hawks at Staples Center. Although the Lakers were able to get the win, Chris Kaman still isn't totally satisfied with his minutes under head coach Mike D'Antoni according to Lakers Nation's Serena Winters via Twitter:
Kaman liked playing w/ Pau in the preseason & did his best not to knock D'Antoni but said: "I would like to play w/ Pau a little bit more."
With D'Antoni going with Shawne Williams as his starting power forward, Kaman has assumed the role off the bench. Kaman has played well off the bench for D'Antoni while Williams has struggle as a starter, but D'Antoni has been reluctant to make a change at the four spot over the first four games of the season.
Ironically enough, D'Antoni made a change to the starting lineup before heading into the game against the Hawks on Sunday. D'Antoni decided to start Xavier Henry and have Nick Young come off the bench. The move worked out in the team's favor as Henry (team-high 18 points) brought some much needed energy to starting lineup while Young (13 points) was the spark off the bench.
Kaman on the other hand played 16 minutes off the bench scoring 10 points and ripping down five rebounds. Although Kaman played well at times, the veteran center committed three turnovers and came one foul shy of fouling out.
With the Lakers embarking on a three-game road trip, it'll be interesting to see if D'Antoni continues to mix things up in terms of the starting lineup.
