After missing the majority of last season with a leg injury, Steve Nash worked extremely hard in the off-season to get back healthy in order to bounce back this season. Unfortunately, Nash continues to battle injury problems during the 2013-14 NBA season, but might be able to return to the floor on Tues. Jan. 28 according to Mike Bresnahan of L.A. Times:
D'Antoni says he hopes Nash can come back next Tuesday. Nash has been out since late November.
Nash hasn't been able to get back on the floor for the Lakers since being diagnosed with root irritation in his back back in November. Nash's injury problems have gotten so bad this season that retirement has become an option that he's been forced to consider, but he remains reluctant to call it a career after vowing to play out his contract with the Lakers.
Along with Nash nearing a return to the floor after a long absence, the Lakers might also be getting a few other players back from injury in the coming weeks. Kobe Bryant will have his injured knee re-evaluated in February while Jordan Farmar could return during the middle of next month.
Steve Blake is another injured player that appears to be making progress, but there's been no timetable set for his return as of yet.
