The Los Angeles Lakers have been ravaged by injuries once again this season with numerous players going down in the first few months of the 2013-14 NBA season. Fortunately, the Lakers may get Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash back on the floor in the coming weeks with both players set to be re-evaluated and potentially ready to return by the end of the upcoming road trip according to head coach Mike D'Antoni via LakersNation.com on Jan. 10:
“Nash and Kobe are going to come back together at the end of the road trip. They’ll get re-evaluated and they could possibly be ready by the end of the road trip.”
The two superstars have been dealing with nagging injuries all season long. Both players have only played in six games thus far this season with Bryant going down with a knee injury after returning from a torn Achilles tendon and Nash dealing with a persistent back injury.
Along with Bryant and Nash being out, the Lakers have had to deal with Steve Blake, Xavier Henry and Jordan Farmar all dealing with injuries as well. Needless to say, the backcourt has been ravaged by these constant injuries and will be given a huge boost with the return of Bryant and Nash in the coming weeks.
