Los Angeles Lakers forward, Lamar Odom, made the final roster on the USA team that will compete at the FIBA World Championships beginning on Saturday, August 28 in Turkey. The final roster of 12 players that will represent Team USA was determined today.
Odom will add the necessary size on a guard-dominated USA team, and will be expected to play the center position when necessary.
Boston Celtics point guard, Rajon Rondo, withdrew from the remaining 13 players left on the roster.
Odom joins 11 other players including Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls, Eric Gordon from the Los Angeles Clippers, Chauncey Billups from the Denver Nuggets, Tyson Chandler from the Dallas Mavericks, Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Andre Iguodala from the Philadelphia 76ers, Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rudy Gay from the Memphis Grizzlies, and Danny Granger from the Indiana Pacers.
Team USA’s first opponent will be against Croatia on Saturday.
