If you're a wine lover, you probably already know about the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, but you might not realize that there's a winery just half an hour away from Disney's western edge. If you head down Highway 27 in Clermont, you'll find a hidden gem. Nestled among the rolling hills is Lakeridge Winery, a busy spot with vineyards and on-site wine making facilities that offers daily tours and samples of its products.

Click the slideshow accompanying this article for scenes from the winery. What can you do if you decide to visit? First, you'll start things off with a tour that includes an informative movie and a walk-through that lets you view the workings of the winery itself. The amount of activity depends on the time of year. You'll also see the vineyards out back where the grapes ripen on their journey from vine to bottle.

At the end of the tour you'll enjoy the best part: free wine tasting. The Lakeridge wines tend toward the sweeter end of things, which is a big reason why their products are a fixture in my house. You can get them at Publix if you don't want to run out to the winery, but they often have great deals that allow you to stock up if you make the trip.

There's also a great gift shop with wine and all sorts of wine-related novelties. The variety is so great that something is sure to catch your eye.

Lakeridge Winery has a variety of special events throughout the year, too. Jump to this article to learn about their Annual Harvest Festival.
