Lake Tahoe Ski Report: minus-11 degree temperature Saturday morning in Tahoe (Photos)

More snow arrived in the Lake Tahoe region Friday. However, the freezing temperatures stole the spotlight.

South Lake Tahoe residents awoke to bone-chilling, minus-11 degree weather this morning. The temperatures will be rising into the 20s later today, but they should dip below zero again both tonight and Sunday night.

Alpine Meadows and Diamond Peak were the big winners in snow totals on Friday – both ski resorts recorded up to 8 inches of snow.

Sierra-at-Tahoe received another half foot of snow Friday and has received 20 inches of snow over the last three days. Northstar-at-Tahoe got 5 inches of new snow Friday.

Enjoy the fresh snow, because there might not be any to late next week. The Weather Channel is forecasting zero-percent chance of snow from today through Wednesday.

Below is the National Weather Service forecast for today through Wednesday for the Lake Tahoe region.

Today: Sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Temperature highs 20 to 25. Light winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Temperature lows 1 below to 11 below zero. East winds up to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Temperature highs 20 to 25. Northeast winds up to 10 mph. Ridge gusts up to 50 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Clear. Temperature lows 8 below to 2 above zero. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph in the evening. Ridge gusts up to 65 mph.

Monday: Sunny. Temperature highs 26 to 31. East winds around 10 mph. Ridge gusts up to 50 mph.

Monday Night: Clear. Temperature lows zero to 10 above zero.

Tuesday through Wednesday: Clear. Temperature highs 35 to 40. Temperature lows 6 to 16.
