Weather changes will begin today in the greater Lake Tahoe region with a chance of snow taking place this week
The Weather Channel is forecasting a 10-percent chance of snow today, followed by a 60-percent possibility on Wednesday. The chance of snow ranges from 10-40 percent every day through the end of January.
More warm weather is forecast today for the Truckee and Lake Tahoe region, which has gone from record-low temperatures last week to some hotter-than-normal days for skiing and snowboarding.
According to the National Weather Service, daytime temperatures will range today from low 40s to high 50s today through Friday at Lake Tahoe ski resorts. The evening temperatures are expected to be in the high teens to the mid-20s.

Today: Partly cloudy. Temperature highs 41 to 51. Light winds becoming south up to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Temperature lows 14 to 24. South winds up to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers in the afternoon. Snow level 7,500 feet. Temperature highs 43 to 53. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 35 mph. Ridge gusts up to 75 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Snow level 6,500 feet lowering to lake level. Temperature lows 19 to 24. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph in the evening becoming light. Ridge gusts up to 80 mph in the evening.
Thursday: Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Temperature highs 39 to 49. Light winds.
Thursday Night: Clear. Temperature lows 14 to 19.
Friday: Mostly cloudy. Temperature highs 42 to 47.
