If you woke up today in the Lake Tahoe region this morning, chances are you were pretty cold. Temperatures hit near zero in parts of the Lake Tahoe area.
However, the day will warm quickly, which should be ideal for skiing and snowboarding at one of many Lake Tahoe ski resorts.
According to the National Weather Service, daytime temperature should range from the high 30s to the mid-40s in the region, then drop down to single digits again overnight.
And those temperature ranges should stay that way through the Martin Luther King holiday weekend, where sun-drenched days will greet people who are skiing or snowboarding.
The classic Lake Tahoe bluebird days will remain at least through Tuesday. According to The Weather Channel, there is a zero-percent chance of snow in the Tahoe region until Wednesday when there is a 30-percent chance.
Although there has been no new snow this week, the Lake Tahoe resorts were blessed with plenty of early snow this season and the cold weather has made it ideal for keeping the snow pack at high levels.
Below is the National Weather Service forecast for today through Tuesday for the Lake Tahoe region.
