Lake level is 8.5 feet below full pool now and the temperature in right about 50 degrees. The channels are stained the main lake is clear.
The fishing is good.
The ramps are open and the water is warm for February. The spotted bass are biting in the shallow and the deep. Largemouth are bitting mostly shallow crankbaits in the flats and ditches., but basically were non-keepers.
The fishing is good and we have been using the umbrella rig to see what we can stir up. The birds lead us to the back channels and right into the baitfish and nibbling there were stripers. They didn't get their fill of shad because they were hanging tight to the rig and made for a good day on the water.
Out deep around the structures, working it methodically with the help of Lowrance. Baitfish are all over the place, the bass are moving up and down through the water column.
