On January 16, 2014 it was announced that the 2015 Bassmaster Classic tournament will be held on Lake Hartwell Lake in South Carolina. There has not been a Bassmaster tournament in South Carolina since 2008 which was held in the upstate.

Lake Harwell sits on the border of South Carolina in Anderson County and North Carolina near the town of Fair Play, South Carolina. The park is accessible from I85. The Lake Hartwell State Park offers campers an opportunity to hike and fish in the 56,000 acre Lake. Striped and hybrid bass as well as largemouth, crappie, bream and catfish inhabit the lake.

Anderson County has developed the Green Pond Boat ramp which offers six 275 foot ramps to accommodate a large number of boaters. There are two cabins for rent and camping sites available for RV’s and tents. Contact Lake Hartwell State Park by calling: 864-972-3352 or using their website.
