The Lake Geneva Hope Walk is an annual non-competitive walk along the scenic pathway around Geneva Lake.
Registration and check-in run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on September 28 at Library Park, located on West Main Street in downtown Lake Geneva. The entry fee is $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the event. Online registration is available through September 26 for the Lake Geneva Hope Walk. The first 300 to register will receive logo-imprinted string tote bags.
A fitness expert from Grand Geneva Resort and Spa will lead stretching exercises with walking participants before the event. Also, the Pink Glove Dance Competition, hosted by Medline, will warm up the crowd.
Walkers will begin the route at their convenience, as a mass start is not scheduled, and may turn around at any time. Perennially, most participants choose five-mile, seven-mile, or 14-mile options.
Leashed dogs are allowed.
Proceeds from the Lake Geneva Hope Walk benefit the Aurora Health Care Breast Treatment Assistance Program to raise funds providing mammograms for uninsured and under-insured women.
