September is music festival month in Northern California, with world-class bashes ranging from Monterey to San Francisco and deep into Sonoma County. Here is another event to add to the month’s already bursting schedule.
The Wine Country Cajun Festival on September 7 will bring a healthy dose of Louisiana to Sebastopol. Set for 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. at Ives Park, the festival will feature Sunpie Barnes and the Louisiana Sunspots, Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble, Dwight Carrier and Ro Dog, and Jimmy Breaux and his band. In addition, expect ample opportunity to indulge your appetite for all the Cajun delicacies including crawfish, gumbo, oysters, spicy barbecue and cold beer. There also will be a shaded dance floor.
Laissez bon temps rouller.
