The Lahaina Cannery Mall on the west side of Maui, Hawaii is one of the island's best places to shop and see free hula shows twice each week.

Home to retail stores like ABC Stores, Long's Drugs, Boss Frog's, and the a 24-hour Safeway grocery store, the Lahaina Cannery Mall is one of Maui's oldest shopping complexes. It's also the only enclosed, fully air-conditioned malls on the island, and is home to a Starbucks coffee shop on the front-side of the complex.

There's a small food court inside the Lahaina Cannery Mall, along with over 40 retail stores offering unique, Hawaiian-made gift and souvenir items. A Lulu's Lahaina Surf Club and Grill is also located next to the large free parking area and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Free Hula Shows! On Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., the Polynesian Dancers perform a free hula shows that is as authentic as any show you'll see at a luau. A Keiki (children) Hula Show is performed each Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

"The hula shows are fun and ideal for the whole family," says Patricia Rattanasrvi. "They're pretty authentic and the music is good. It's a casual environment."

Directions. Take Honoapiilani Highway (Hwy. 30) to the west side of Maui. Drive through several traffic lights in Lahaina. Turn toward the ocean and Front Street at the Kenui Street intersection with Hwy. 30. It's easy-to-see and is across from the Lahaina Gateway Shopping complex.
