Designer Karl Lagerfeld, the Creative Director of Chanel, presented his stunning Chanel Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear Womenswear collection in a fashion show at the Grand Palais for Paris Fashion Week on March 5, 2013 in Paris, France.
This Fall 2013 collection from Lagerfeld is unlike anything we’ve seen from him in quite some time…
Models donning plush powder pink, baby blue and teal caps that resembled pageboy hairstyle wigs presented his mostly black, grey and white collection, punctuated with bubblegum pink, mint green, teal and a multi-colored weave that translated into a pale burgundy from a distance…
There’s even a variation on prints that incorporate pink, orange and red as teamed with navy blue, such as the pretty top and skirt set, that is topped off with a navy blue cardigan.
Chanel handbags, at least as they were represented on the runway today, tend to run on the smallish side this Fall 2013, featuring their signature “quilted” stitching and chain straps and available in a multitude of colors to match the collection including pink, burgundy and navy.
As for the Chanel Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear collection, expect well-rendered Chanel suits and separates, and tailored jackets and coats, which are to be teamed with thigh-high boots that are dressed up with plenty of chrome hardware! A little edgy you say? There are plenty more surprises from Lagerfeld…
Attending the Chanel Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear fashion show were actress Jessica Chastain, Milla Jovovich, Marie Jose Croze, Elena Perminova, Giovanna Battaglia, Anna Dello Russo, Madame Serge Dassault, Micheline Chaban Delmas (widow of former French Prime Minister Jacques Chaban-Delmas) and Princess Caroline of Hanover (daughter of Princess Grace of Monaco, a.k.a. American actress Grace Kelly).
