As American’s we all have a few things around our house that we don’t normally use. Well for those that have odd lids or Mason jar rings, you’re in luck. This little project will turn your useless jar lids into something beautiful.

Materials:
• Mason Jar Lid Ring
Foamies (Any Color)
Google Eyes
Puff Paint
• 20G Wire
• Hot Glue
• Ribbon

We will be making a ladybug lid, but you can make any other type of creature you feel will look good.

Step 1: Take your foamie and cut two circles. One out of red and one out of black, you can use the lid to trace the circle so that it fits onto it. Next you will want to cut a small semi-circle for the head.

Step 2: Glue the black circle to the jar ring and cut the red circle in half. You will attach the head before the red is put on. With the head glued down you will want to glue the red pieces down. Have these opened slightly so it looks like the bug is flying.

Step 3: With all your foamies glued down, you are ready to add the little things that make the bug a bug. With black puff paint you can add dots to the red. This will give your lady bug a bug appearance. Then you will glue on your google eyes. The eyes should not be too large because it will take up to much room.

Step 4: Finally you will want to cut two pieces of ribbon, red and white. These are about 6-7 inches long. Tie them into a bow and glue at the meeting point of your red foamie. To make it to where you can hang this little bug up, you will need a piece of wire about 4-5 inches long. Bend this in half and twist it a bit and glue it to the meeting point of your foamie and the lid.
