January 26, 2012 – We are almost mid-way in the conference season. Below are the BSC women’s basketball standings before this week’s games. Last week, road teams won Saturday’s games, including the Lady Griz. Montana beat Sacramento State 88-79 in Sacramento putting UM at 4-2 in conference play and 11-8 overall.
Montana’s Katie Baker led the squad with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Torry Hill finished with 19 points and Kenzie De Boer added 14. The Lady Griz shot a respectable 46 percent from the field while Sacramento State shot 41 percent. Montana dominated the boards with 45 rebounds to the Hornets 38.

The Montana Lady Griz host Eastern Washington Eagles tonight, Thursday, January 26. Currently in fourth place, the Lady Griz (11-8, 4-2 BSC) will take on the second-place Eagles (11-9, 5-2 BSC) at 7 p.m. at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula, Montana. Their last competition was in Cheney, Wash. January 2, where Montana beat EWU 53-46.
Editor’s note: Montana and Northern Colorado have the best home game record of 8 wins and only 2 losses at home. The Lady Griz will look for their 9th home win tonight.
