Points of interest in Big Sky women’s basketball:
Weber State and Idaho State woke up last Saturday with records of 0-7 (last in conference) and 7-0 (first in conference) respectively. In the Saturday matchup with 6:29 left in the game, Weber State took the lead. Then they faltered but tied the game again with 16 seconds left. Idaho State ultimately won the game 54-52 but not without a big scare. The Bengals are still first and the Wildcats still last in the conference but Big Sky teams might want to watch out for Weber State as they are finding their stride.
For the first time since the 1983-84 season, the EWU Eagles swept their Montana road trip by beating Montana State in Bozeman on Saturday 66-52 after winning at the University of Montana on Thursday. The Eagles currently hold second place in the conference.
