Lady Gaga has outdone herself again.  The performance artist, who graced the cover of September's "Vogue Hommes Japan" magazine in a meat bikini, wore a meat dress to the Video Music Awards.  The outfit included a meat dress, meat in her hair, and meat wrapped around her feet.  Accessories included sparkly jewelry and fishnet stockings.

When Cher presented an award to Lady Gaga, they hugged even though Gaga was wearing unsanitary raw flesh on her body.  You can see plenty of detailed photos of Lady Gaga's meat dress at the end of this article.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) was quick to respond when Lady Gaga posed in a meat bikini:"No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that's the look they were going for -- they achieved it."

There is no doubt that PETA will be issuing a statement about Lady Gaga's most recent faux pas.  Prior to the meat bikini incident, the animal rights organization had praised the singer for using fake fur in her "Bad Romance" video.  They had even quoted the singer remarking on her distaste for fur.  Gaga's famous Kermit the Frog outfit was even an anti-fur message in itself.

The Kermit the Frog costume was created by designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.  Lady Gaga explained the outfit: 'cause I hate fur and I don't wear fur."  It seems odd that the singer would eschew fur, but drape herself head to toe in raw, bloody meat.

Boston fans of Lady Gaga were thrilled when she recently appeared live at TD Banknorth Garden. She will return to Boston, MA early next year with a scheduled appearance at the same venue on March 11, 2011. Tickets are on sale now and range from $92.00-$1,500.00.
