Lady Gaga and Alex Rodriquez, or A-Rod as he’s known in the sport’s world, had a serious talk about hips recently resulting in surgery for the “Born This Way” singer. The Yankee’s great had the same type of hip problem as Lady Gaga, according to DNA on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.
Once A-Rod assured the flamboyant superstar that the surgery was worth having, she decided to go for it. The friends share the same surgeon, so not only did A-Rod assure her on the surgery, but he could speak from experience on the man who was slated to do the surgery.
Her bum hip has caused Lady Gaga to cancel the rest of her world tour, which resulted in 30 million dollars in refunds to her fans. That’s a lot of money, but Lady Gaga’s popularity should let her make that up doing future concerts.
Gaga and A-Rod were both spotted arriving at the surgeon’s office this week at the same time. This is before she went under the knife. It looked as though the meeting of the minds about hips happened at this time.
Talking to A-Rod was a smart move on Gaga’s part because he is a sports athlete and who better to give a seal of approval than a man who gives his hip a workout more than the average person. Even though Gaga isn’t a sports figure, she moves around with her dance moves during her concerts to the point that might render an Olympic runner tired.
Lady Gaga liked what she heard from her baseball playing friend and decided to go ahead with the surgery, which she had earlier this week.
