Lady Gaga to star in her very own comic book

Bluewater Productions is about to launch a whole new series of comics, titled Fame, which will feature unauthorized biographies of "culturally relevant" celebrities. The first culturally relevant celebrity on the Fame roster: the colorful Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga's comic book will debut on Free Comic Book Day, May 5, 2010, and will be followed up by such stars as Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent and Taylor Swift, to name a few.

This isn't the first time Bluewater has focused on those in the spotlight. Last year they focused on powerful women, including titles about Michelle Obama and Stephenie Meyer.

The company claims that this experiment is an opportunity to boost the comic industry by presenting a wider range of material to people who might not otherwise read comics.

I normally don't read comics (if only because I don't know what to read, and because I don't have the money,) but I'd buy this. I'd probably buy this twice so I could read one and keep a second in its plastic, but that's mostly because I'm a huge GaGa fan, haha.
