Pop singer Lady Gaga announced a change in plans on Tuesday involving her "ARTPOP" album. Gaga was originally set to release "Venus" as her next single but now she is opting to go with R&B banger "Do What U Want" featuring R. Kelly instead.
Gaga released "Do What U Want" on Monday and the song unexpectedly blew up on iTunes. It hit the no. 1 spot on the chart there, achieving a feat that "ARTPOP" lead single "Applause" was unable to do. The R&B track with R. Kelly also received mostly glowing reviews, including one from us. Though no longer an official single, "Venus" will still be released to iTunes next week as a promotional single.
"Don't worry monsters! We are still scheduled to release #Venus this Monday with a snippet on Friday! AND it will STILL have its own video!" she wrote to her fans.
"Do What U Want" is now available on iTunes. "Venus" will be released on Monday and Gaga's "ARTPOP" album will follow afterword on November 11.
