Lady Gaga is entering 2014 as one of the most successful controversial entertainers around whose changing wild appearances are hard to keep up with. But, she has a headache to deal with as we enter the New Year with threats of a lawsuit by her ex-boyfriend over the book "Rivington Was Ours", reported News.com.au on Dec. 31, 2013. Luc Carl has threatened to sue Gaga's longtime friend Brendan Jay and publisher Harper Collins over a book about the superstar which paints him out to be a "villain" who "didnt have time for her".
Carl, who is a musician, has been very upset with the negative depiction of him in the book "Rivington Was Ours", which chronicles Gaga’s early career. In this book, Sullivan has described Carl as being a negative influence on Gaga, as he is alleged to have dictated whom she could talk to and where she could work while he himself took up with a "small coterie of drunk girls."
Gaga split up with the drummer in 2008 after they spent three years together. There are rumors this may be a difficult lawsuit for Carl, who has admitted he wasn’t much of a boyfriend, saying at one time that he was miserable and that the failed relationship was not Gaga's fault. He apparently admitted that he was often drunk and that he would have left himself too.
Nevertheless, Carl is worried about his public image and is keeping alive his threat of legal action over his poor depiction in a book about Gaga, reports 3 News. Attorneys who represent drummer Carl, have sent legal letters to publishing giant Harper Collins and author Brendan Jay Sullivan about this matter. But, Sullivan has said, "Gaga told me herself that Luc told her early in her career, 'I hope you fail,' and that gave her the fire she needed at the time to fight for her dreams." Sounds like a messy and upsetting set of revelations which Gaga would probably like to leave behind her.
