Lady Gaga's hip surgery this week forced Mother Monster to cancel the remainder of her world tour. According to a Feb. 23 Big News Network report, Lady Gaga did receive a word of encouragement from New York Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez about the surgery.
A-Rod is currently recovering from an identical hip surgery that has sidelined the star third baseman. Gaga and A-Rod reportedly used the same surgeon for the procedure, Dr. Bryan Kelly, and ran into each other at the office this week.
Alex Rodriguez, in for a follow-up, spoke with Lady Gaga and calmed her nerves before her surgery. A-Rod had his procedure in January and is expected to return to baseball sometime this summer.
Mother Monster issued ticket refunds to all of her fans for the remaining tour dates. She is under strict doctor’s orders to maintain downtime. Still, the singer remains positive to her fans posting to her blog that this was "just a bump in the road." There is no word yet as to how long it will take the singer-songwriter to recover from surgery.
